I have two very different jobs. I own an internet flower business that delivers flowers, gift baskets and special gifts all over Brazil. The office and flower store are located 5 blocks from my home; it is a small business, I have a few employees. I look after the Marketing and Search Engine Optimization. My other job is as an Interpreter, you know, in the booth, UN style. As I grew up speaking English at home and Portuguese in school, simultaneous translation came naturally for me. São Paulo is a huge city with many events taking place daily, so there is no lack of work. Communications, IT, Marketing, Human Resources, Medical, Legal events, you name it ! I love interpreting as I learn about different subjects, it is always interesting. I work at simultaneous translations (synonym to interpreting) around 3 times a week from March to November. From December until after the Brazilian carnival is vacation time in Brazil and there is not much work in this field.
